Integrated visualization of wolves, elk, snowpack, and geothermals in Yellowstone National Park

Below is an integrated visualization of wildlife movements within a dynamic landscape.

The vegetated landscape and terrain of the Firehole Valley are shown, overlain by warm colors depicting geothermal areas. Snowpack simulation model output is also shown, as the landscape turns white during the season. The movement of numerous VHF-collared elk and foot-tracked locations of the Nez Perce wolf pack are shown (represented as a single wolf).
